Lizzy is my little mommy. The funny thing about this picture is that this is exactly how I take her and Jack for walks... Jack in the frontpack and Liz in the stroller. The other day, at church, one of the older gentleman told me that Jack had a good grip- great for a missionary. I laughed and said "I hope so!" "Gotta start young nowadays..." he replied. It got me to thinking about what I am doing to prepare Jack, I mean he is only 5 months old, for pete's sake! When we got home from church Jack was playing on the floor with Liz nearby. I left the room for a minute and upon my return Liz was teaching Jack how to pray, and becoming very frustrated that he wouldn't fold his arms by the way. The next morning I told Liz to play with Jack on the floor so that I could get her breakfast. From the kitchen I could hear her singing "I am a child of God" (with a few melodic liberties) to Jack while he beamed adoringly up at her. Later that same day Liz came over to Jack in his bouncy seat and explained the Atonement to him several times. "okay, Jack?" If she keeps this up, I may not have to do a thing to teach him- Liz has it handled! It certainly did strengthen my testimony that it is never too early to teach a child.
