Just had to include this one of Adney. I get out the camera sometimes to keep the kids occupied, they love looking at the pictures on the little screen. He looks so innocent... he wouldn't be up to anything mischievious, would he?

Thought we would just include a couple of cute pictures of Lizzy. This is her trick-or-treat bucket that she enjoys wearing on her head or around her neck. We thought it looked like a little turban or bubble hat or something. Anyway, she wanted to say hello!

I love these next two pictures. We have an old box of wipes that we keep filled with Lizzy's books (she loves to 'read'). Well, this afternoon, she pulls out her book of fairy tales, and then proceeds to climb into the box, on top of the other books and begins reading her story. She stayed in their for a good five minutes before she realized that it was uncomfortable.

Lizzy is getting so smart. Grandma and Grandpa Cowling sent her some new books this week, one of which is an ABC book. Inside is a picture of a book and also a cookie (among many other things) but I showed her the sign for those two words once or twice and didn't think anything of it. Well, this morning, I was reading the book to her and lo and behold, we got the book and she signed the word. I was impressed, but then she did cookie when we got there and has continued to sign it all day, seeing as how it gets her the results of a cookie! I was so impressed. Maybe it is just the age though. Adney has also learned how to sign cheese and milk this week, with no training from me and his parents say that they didn't teach him either. One day he just started walking around with Lizzy making the sign for cheese and saying "sheez, sheez, sheez" with her. Then he points at his milk and I ask him what he wants and he makes the sign for milk. (He does it a little different than Liz, though. She just squeezes her hand a few times, he actually makes a movement like he is milking a cow!) That little guy is so smart. So, that is my little testament to how much smarter my one-year-olds are than me (it took me 26 years to learn those signs!)
