As most of you know, Steve and I have recently celebrated our 2nd anniversary... So I thought it would be fun to take a look back at the time since we met... Don't adjust your computer, we really have changed. This is a picture of one of our favorite dates. We went to Yellowstone and asked some random guy to take a picture of us. My friends used to tease me that it almost looked like an engagement photo. I would laugh, but think inside: I sure hope so!
On top of Mt. Ranier (okay, so it isn't the tippy top, but it is about as high as you can drive to...) This was from when I went to visit Steve in Seattle. He picked me up at the airport and whisked me right off to a fun-filled day chasing around the mountains of Washington.
Taken literally 2 days before Steve proposed. This is St. Mary's falls.
2 of our engagement photos. I don't think they are my favorite, but the favorites have been plastered on our walls and sent out to millions in our wedding announcements, so these are a refreshing change.
Outside the Cardston Temple... August 25, 2006
Those are the faces of 2 blissfully happy people at our reception in Washington. Steve's mom finally has those trees planted in her backyard and the arch in her garden... It didn't even take the full 2 years!
If the last picture was 2 blissfully happy people, this must have been 2 tired silly people. We were all photographed out and I think we were pretending to be sumo wrestlers... I'm pretty sure no self-respecting sumo wrestler would move like this, but it was good for a few laughs anyway. This was in Great Falls.
So like 5 minutes after we got married I was pregnant... a little bit of an exaggeration, but it sure did go by fast! No, Steve is not really pregnant, he was just trying to make me feel better. (By the way, I was sucking it in!)
July 15, 2007, our family grew by one beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth Josephine Cowling...
Steve's 3rd place pinewood derby finish... One of my proudest moments!
Family photos in April... Doesn't Steve get more handsome as we go? (I might be the teensiest bit biased!)
Taken after an exhausting climb of R mountain (the menan buttes). The first time that Steve and I climbed it he thought I was calling it "Our Mountain" and mentioned how sweet it was that I referred to it that way. One day he looked up and noticed the giant R on the side of the mountain. It was actually quite funny, but I still refer to it as 'our' mountain!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane with us. I love my little family...
