These horses are completely full grown and were so gentle. They put up with all sorts of patting, poking, prodding and hugging from the kids.
(Obviously not a miniature horse) This was Leona. I thought that Liz might be too scared to have her eat from her hand, but when the horse practically swallowed her hand, she just giggled.
Leona and the other full size horse were so weird about the camera. Everytime I got near them they would not only look straight at me, but would come over and sniff the camera. I got a lot of nostril shots. This is my nephew Tom, aka Lizzy's best friend for the week.
If I remember correctly, this is one is just a baby. She was very curious about all the kids and loved it when they petted her.
This little cart was so neat! The little girl there, (whose name I can't remember) is a world champion cart driver for mini horses (who knew they even had that?). She took all of the kids out over and over for little rides around their farm.
Liz was, of course, kept safe by her cousin, Sam.
Then, as if that wasn't enough, they let Liz lead this little horse around. She was so happy! (Liz, not the horse, although the horse was very patient) They have these horses so well trained that she followed Liz around without a problem.
