No, I'm not trying to show you how poor we are, Liz's toes just looked so funny peeping out of her tights. She loves wearing dresses and tights, though, so I just keep letting her wear them. I figure it will only be cold a few more weeks and then I can throw them away when she isn't looking!
Sometimes, when it is time to change her diaper, Liz will sprint away from me. In order to catch her, she sometimes gets held in some pretty interesting holds. This is one of them...

Every night, before bed, I sing two songs to Liz. She knows the routine and loves it. She will fling herself back in my arms so I can hold her like a baby and listen. It is our special bonding time and I love it too. She used to ask for song after song after song. We had a little discussion with her about it and have settled on two songs for the time being.

Liz and Adney are always so excited to have parents come home in the afternoon. All I have to do to distract them is to tell them to go and wait for someone at the window. If they spot someone they will bang on the window and yell "Daddy!" or "mommy!" They don't really differentiate between whose mommy or daddy, they just know that someone's mommy or daddy is coming and that is exciting enough for them. Steve took this shot as he came home one day.

Isn't she lovely? I am always trying to get profile shots and here she is! She is growing up way too fast!

Not much going on here for the Cowling family. Steve is finishing up the semester this week and we are getting ready to move to Washington for the summer. CRAZY!!!! We are excited to be near family but also nervous for the change. We will be living with Steve's parents (luckily I love my in-laws, or that could be quite awkward) and Liz will love all of the extra adoration that her grandparents are sure to lavish upon her. Keep you posted.
