Just goofing off...

So, I finally caved to social pressure and joined facebook. Actually, my brother-in-law, Jon, texted Steve 4 times a day for nearly a week to do it, so we finally took the plunge. I have to admit, it has been fun to search for old friends and add new ones. I have spent the last two days reminiscing over my high school and mission days. I can't believe that I graduated from high school nearly 9 years ago, or that I left for my mission five and a half years ago... Does that make me old? It has all made me think, however, how profoundly grateful I am for all the people that have shaped my life. Everyone that I met has helped to make me who I am, for better or for worse. If you will forgive me for a moment of mushiness, I think I owe Steve the most for who I am trying to be today. He is the person, more than anyone else in my life, who has made me want to be a better person. Actually I am just trying to be the person that he already thinks I am. (I won't even attempt to be the person that my mother-in-law thinks I am, she is WAY too nice to me...) Lizzy has helped me realize who I want to be, and Steven has helped me to become that person... I love you, Steven Cowling... Who couldn't love a man who would do this for his daughter?
Lizzy loved it, and she will still bring me the links and aske me to put them in her nose... or mine. I'm not a fan. The funny part is when she tries to put them in Adney's nose... He is not a fan either.

Mug shots?
Liz and I had a girl's day last week. We stayed in our pajamas all day, watched Oklahoma! and braided each other's hair. I am hoping for better results next time we try to braid Lizzy's hair... in about a year. She looked cute though, and Oklahoma! proved to be a great distraction for her to sit still. I think she likes Curly as much as I do. Lizzy is also going through a grandpa phase. She calls him all the time, she asks for him all the time and she gets excited for his pictures. It is so cute, she will bring me the phone, rub her chin and ask for 'papa' in whispered tones. So, dad, if we can't come see you, at least know that Lizzy misses you!

You joined facebook? I am on a personal crusade to never join facebook. Ben is on facebook though. He will add you. Lizzie looks just like Steve. They have the same eyes. I think the ring in their noses made them look alike, too.

And a blog, too! Your family is beautiful. Bridget (the 20 month old) is also in a major Grandpa-phone phase... she likes to carry the phone around and talk to him all the time, no doubt filling him in on the injustices of having two older sisters, ha.
