Happy Thanksgiving!

We had so much to be thankful for this year. In addition to the multitude of blessings that we already had, we had a great visit with my little brother, Jake and his wife and baby, Beth and Heidi. Since my other little brother, Eric and his wife, JoElla already live next door that meant that we had half the family here to eat turkey. We had so much fun catching up and goofing off. Lizzy and Heidi got along well and we all seemed to have a good time. Hope you enjoy our Turkey day pictures, we got a little silly...

Eric and JoElla started out Thanksgiving exhausted! Keep in mind that this was before we had even thought of beginning our Thanksgiving feast! And there is our beautiful spread. Beth commented that making our own Thanksgiving dinner without our parents made her feel kind of grown up. I guess she has a point. This is my first Thanksgiving without my parents or my in laws (except the mission of course...) So I guess that is a milestone for us all. Nothing burned, everything tasted great, and we had all the trimmings!

Heidi completely enjoyed her first Thanksgiving dinner. The sweet potatoes were a hit, as were the mashed potatoes. The cranberry sauce fell a little flat, however.

I love this picture of Heidi. I think that she looks a lot like Lizzy in this shot. Most of the time they look very different, but occasionally a certain expression will make you look twice to make sure you have the right girl.

Lizzy was a big fan of Heidi, especially because she would sit still for lots of kisses. We had to be careful though, she kept knocking her down with her 'extreme hugs'. Maybe she just thought Heidi was a really cool lifesize doll for her...

Heidi took her first 'crawling steps' this last weekend. It wasn't much (or far) but she did it! We all got very excited to see her growing up.

The rest of these pictures are just us being silly at the park. It was a lot of fun and I couldn't believe how in to it everyone got. Lizzy loved it, but she got quite cold. Oh, and it isn't midnight, despite how dark some of the pictures look. It was barely 5 o'clock!

Heidi really got into the spirit of this picture... she is sticking her tounge out too!

This was our 'Chariots of fire' impression. Some of us were a little more dramatic than others...
